Prior to joining Liberty Land Abstract, Melanie’s experience was concentrated in Litigation in both state and federal courts, in the areas of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy. Melanie is currently an Underwriting Counsel at Liberty Land tasked with clearing all title concerns to result in successful closings.

Melanie has over twenty years’ experience, both in her capacity as Attorney and paralegal, representing lenders in matters related to default services, creditors’ rights, and mortgage origination.   In her legal representation of lenders, servicers, and investors, she focused on general litigation, including defense against claims involving violations under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and other related state and common law claims.  She supervised and trained teams in the areas of Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation and Real Property and Co-op Closings.  

Melanie also has a background in Estates, with a primary focus on the administration of estates, accountings and wrongful death matters.
